Smoby slide wins award for sustainability
The Smoby XL Slide wins the ‘Play for Change Awards 2024’ organised by T.I.E.
We are delighted to have received an award at the ‘Play for Change Awards 2024’ of the T.I.E. (Toy Industry of Europe). The Smoby XL Slide was honoured with a bronze award in the sustainability category.
The Toy Industries of Europe (T.I.E.) is the voice of the leading toy manufacturers in the EU. The association engages with political actors in the EU to promote every child's right to safe play. It also campaigns for fair practices and fair legislation so that responsible toy companies can grow.
The Smoby XL slide with water connection convinced the T.I.E. jury: As with all other Smoby outdoor toys, quality and safety are the be-all and end-all. Thanks to an extra wide base, the slide is stable on the ground. A railing with safety handles and anti-slip steps also ensures safety when playing with water.
The double wave slide consists of at least 70% recycled material in modern colours. Only a few simple steps are needed to stow it away to save space. The UV-stable and robust recycled plastic, the clever design and the safety precautions ensure safe fun for children aged three and over.
