Toy Industries of Europe honours Smoby Toys' mud kitchen with an award in the sustainability category.
Smoby Toys has once again been honoured with a prize at the TIE (Toy Industry of Europe) Play for Change Awards. The Smoby mud kitchen was awarded silver in the sustainability category.
The outdoor kitchen allows children aged three and above to experiment with natural materials such as sand. It offers numerous play options that promote motor skills and imagination in young children. The mud kitchen is made from 90% recycled plastic at Smoby's own factory in France. The mud kitchen from Smoby Toys combines both role play and outdoor exercise to promote children's development.
With the award in the sustainability category, the jury recognised efforts to reduce environmental impact, use environmentally friendly materials and inspire children to care for our planet.
"Our Mud Kitchen is part of the Smoby Life collection, which combines recycled material and high-quality new plastic granulate. This reduces plastic waste and CO2 emissions. The material mix ensures safety, durability and stability,‘ said Alexis Delorme, Managing Director of Smoby Toys SAS in France, who accepted the award in Brussels. ’I am delighted that we have been able to impress again this year."
